Little Scribble

The very first brushes!

I was a whirlwind of energy,...

...forever tinkering with something, running off on new adventures. My mom used to say that wearing my cousin's old boy clothes made me twice as mischievous. I was the kind of kid you couldn’t take your eyes off for a second because I’d either be scaling something too tall or disappearing to explore something new. But beneath that whirlwind exterior was a deep and quiet fascination with the world around me. Even then, there was this pull—an urge to understand the earth under my feet, the wind in the trees, and the creatures that called it home.

Grown to be Shown

Those early memories, filled with nature’s wonders, quietly shaped my path. Each trip to the fields, each muddy slip, each bug I caught, all fed a growing desire to understand the world in its smallest details. Nature wasn’t just a backdrop; it was an endless source of questions, waiting to be answered. Over time, my curiosity deepened into a passion—a need to protect and nurture this fragile, beautiful world. The connection I had with nature from my childhood fueled my desire to study it, not just observe it.

I've always been curious about the creatures around me—not just observing them, but wondering: Are they like us? Do mice and cats truly chase each other as in Tom & Jerry? While growing up revealed reality was different from my imagination, my fascination with nature never faded.

This curiosity made Biology my favorite subject, as it allowed me to explore the world beyond books. I became so passionate that I studied ahead, especially in human physiology, deepening my understanding of myself and leading me to join academic competitions at school and district levels. Starting with innocent childhood wonder, I built a strong foundation for a career in science. Now, I aim not only to understand the natural world but also to contribute to its sustainable future—a journey that continues to inspire me every day.

A day studying with me in the lab, but we tried to hype up the mood

and create something funny with our professors.

This time I tried to ride my bike while wearing the skating shoes. I did it and rewarded myself with an ice cream!

I’ve always had a knack for diving headfirst into new challenges, driven by an instinct to figure things out on my own. Take learning to ride a bike, for instance. After my dad’s initial guidance, I was determined to master it. The first time I tackled a hill, I ended up crashing so hard that the basket on the bike broke, and I injured my neck. It was a painful and terrifying moment, but giving up never crossed my mind.

Determined, I taught myself rollerblading, swimming, and even suggesting to my family that we embark on nature-filled trips instead of just typical vacations.

That same curiosity pushed me to experiment with growing organic vegetables at home. I wanted to know if it was really as easy as people claimed. Spoiler alert—it wasn’t! The process turned out to be much harder than I expected, but I loved every bit of it. Whether I succeeded or not didn’t matter as much as the thrill of learning something new. Each attempt, even the failed ones, brought the same exhilarating feeling as rollerblading in the wind—free, refreshing, and empowering.

The path of self-learning is rarely straightforward, but it’s that very challenge that keeps me going. Curiosity and the drive to explore push me forward, step by step. Success or failure aside, the excitement of taking things into my own hands makes me feel like I’m gliding through life’s winds, full of energy and discovery.

From an early age, I learn how to stay on the ground and be grateful for the fortunes arising in my life. Seizing these light strokes of luck, I am able to create abundant opportunities for myself to grow and learn as well as building a strong network with different people from all walks of life. Being able to experience that, I ultimately find my destination and idealism of desiring to become an environmentalist and promoting sustainability.

The philosophy of "pratical and experiential learning" roots deep in my core, as I am always an active learner and a commited practitioner. I always look forward to attempting new ideas, diving into further improvements, and turning those sparks of innovation into practical and long-term acts. Through my projects, I am able to spread the meaning of this to more people, especially children, and help them discover their genuine interests.

The breath of sensitivity and romance through art is an indisputable part of my life, opening my heart to more humane and cultural values besides my scientific endeavors. From Contact Improvisation and photography to cards collecting and performance, I am able to see my life through a new lens, where I touch more carefully, see more observantly, write more diligently, and move more freely.
